My favourite type of food is anything Asian - I have tried quite a few asian-fusion restaurants in London, and wanted to share my favourite 5!
1. Zuma, Knightsbridge
The food is amazing, especially the tempura. You can see the popped corn tempura hiding in the back of this picture - it is deep fried sweetcorn (AMAZING)! If you are feeling a bit naughty I recommend the chocolate fondant desert (not on the menu but just ask the waiter). For a proper table you should book in advance, but it is also possible to walk in and sit at the counter.
2. Chai Wu, Harrods
You can't expect anything less from Harrods! Everything I have tried on the menu has been incredible, from the roasted goose pancakes to the sweet and sour chicken (pictured). And you can collect Harrods Points - Bonus!
3. Sushisamba, Liverpool Street
The best sushi I ever had was off the back of a boat in the Grenadines, tuna sashimi caught an hour earlier. The second best was in Sushisamba. Located at the top of Heron Tower with incredible views all across London. Enjoy a drink on the roof terrace before trying the incredible prawn tempura coated in the most incredible sauce EVER.
4. Hakkasan, Mayfair
Sometimes you can't beat a bit of Chinese. That's why my next two restaurants are dedicated to just that!
5. Park Chinois
Nothing was spared on the interiors of this place, from the gold swan taps to the warm fireplace in the entrance. The food and live entertainment are equally as good. The ribs and dim sum are worth a try. If like me you love spice, go for the Szechuan chicken. Be warned... it is literally a plate of chillies that make your mouth go numb, but really good in a weird way!!
Let me know any other recommendations & what you think of these.
